Extremely agile in flight. Distinctive appearance and graceful flight. Sexes look alike. Usually build their nests in man-made structures such as garages, bridges and farm houses. These are birds captures insects with their wings while flying and sometimes feed on the ground. Only occasionally they feed on a few berries or seeds. Both sexes made their nests, incubate up to 7 eggs, and help in raising the young. Swallows return to the same nest-site each year but nests found in trees are seldom used more than once.
