Phaethon aethereus

MALE ♂︎

A spectacular large majestic seabird. Most of the time flies over seawater and breeds on land. Plunges and dives for fish and squid. Unable to walk due to its short legs and feet. Uses wings to push forward on its belly. Distinctive black eye stripe. Two streaming long middle tail feathers.

Una ave espectacular y majestuosa. Vuela sobre aguas marinas y se reproducen en la costa. Clava y se sumerge en busca de peces y calamares. No camina debido a sus cortas piernas y tipo de patas. Usa sus alas I su estómago para moverse en tierra. Raya negra al lado del ojo y tiene dos plumas largas en la cola.
