BARBET | Torito 

Small and colorful birds. Some of five colors. Large head and sharp bills. Feed on fruits, berries, insects, eggs of other birds, and usually found solitary or in family groups on the canopy of trees. Some climb like woodpeckers; all fly weakly. Their nest is a hole, dug with the beak, high up in rotten trees or in a termite nest.

Aves pequeñas, coloridas y vistosas. Algunos de cinco colores. De cabeza grande y picos filudos. Se alimentan principalmente de frutas, insectos o huevos de otros pájaros. Trepan troncos como los carpinteros y vuelan con debilidad. Con sus filudos picos construyen sus nidos en forma de túnel en troncos viejos o en nidos de termitas.
