Its origins can be traced back 4 millions years. Life span up to 40 years. Pigeons, doves, penguins and flamingoes are unusual because they feed their chicks a liquid that is similar to a mammals milk. The pink coloration of the flamingoes is due to the alpha and beta carotene content in their diets.


Sus orígenes se remontan a 4 millones de años. Viven hasta 40 años. Palomas, pingüinos y flamingos son inusuales ya que alimentan sus polluelos con un liquido similar a la leche de los mamíferos. La coloración rosada se debe al alto contenido de alfa y beta carotenes en su dieta
