Quetzal a very rare bird found in the Andean mountains of Colombia. They have a long body and a golden head. Inhabits at altitudes ranging from 1400 to 2800 m. A species has been observed in the Pacific coast at altitudes less than 1000m. It is a beautiful bird.
El Quetzal es un ave poco común que habita en la zona andina. De manto largo y cabeza aúrea. Vive entre los 1400 y 2800 m sobre el nivel del mar en las tres cordilleras. Se le ha observado en la vertiente del Pacífico a alturas menores de 1000 m. Es un ave muy hermosa.

Location: Found in In the Serranía del Perijá, Serranía del Baudó and the Macarena. It is also found in the three ranges in the Andes and from Cundinamarca to Meta, Putumayo and the Amazonas.
