Appearance: The male Yellow-bellied Dacnis has a bright blue head and upperparts, with a yellow belly and breast. The female is more subdued in color, with a greenish-blue head and upperparts, and a paler yellow belly.
Habitat: Yellow-bellied Dacnis can be found in the canopy of humid forests, especially in the foothills and lowlands of the Andes mountains in Colombia.
