Appearance: The Cloudforest Pygmy-owl is a small owl species, measuring around 15-17 cm in length and weighing approximately 45-60 grams. It has a round head with prominent yellow eyes and small ear tufts. The owl's plumage is primarily dark brown with white or buff spots and streaks, providing camouflage in its forest habitat. 
Habitat: The Cloudforest Pygmy-owl is found in the cloud forests of the Andes mountains, typically at elevations between 1,800 and 3,000 meters in Colombia. These cloud forests are characterized by high humidity, frequent fog or mist, and lush vegetation, providing suitable hunting grounds for the owl.
